Doesn't get better than this

I've had this knife for about 24 hours now, I was gonna wait a week and actually use the thing before I wrote a review. But after one day of using this knife, I'm sold.

I've been carrying the knife all day. A pickup hockey game, taking the kids sledding, and building a snowman. Not once was I worried about losing this knife. The clip is rock solid. It's got such a big footprint that at no point was I having an "oh shit, where's my knife" moment.

The snowman was where the Dixon really proved its worth. I had to cut some branches to make arms for the damn snowman. Getting a knife out one handed while wearing gloves can be a bitch, especially when you're standing in a few feet of snow and soaking wet. Yeah, not a problem for this knife. The size and weight of the knife works to your advantage while wearing wet gloves. Just to be on the safe side, I did shoot some light oil into the pivot point after I got back inside and dried it off.

I'm going out to do some winter backpacking next weekend, hopefully an overnight. The Dixon is definitely coming with me.

Anyway, this knife kicks ass. I have total faith in it. It's insanely over built. I honestly don't think I'm gonna need another knife after this one. If I do ever need another knife, it's gonna be a McNees. Nothing else on the market compares.

Deadly drop!

The BIG DIXON has the signature drop shut we've all grown to love from all our Mac2's over the years. Tighter than the Gen1 Mac2's with the Dixon's recessed standoffs that keep the DIXON aligned and on point. Absolutely no unwanted movement. Very impressed with the rock solid lockup and effortless deployment.
I swapped the ceramic bearings for Thick Washers and it stole all my attention. It just keeps getting better and better after each deployment.
Can't wait to get my hands on a new frag Dixon in the near future! Thanks Jon and Amy( and McNees Crew)for the dedication and sacrifices!
