Requesting Your RA Number

If you have a McNees Knives blade or other EDC product that needs service, please complete our online Service Request form before you send anything to us. We will provide shipping information and a Return Authorization (RA) number that must be included with your shipment.

Getting Your Stuff Ready

Wrap your knife or other EDC items in a cloth or similar material for protection and seal securely. Please be sure to include your entire knife, not just single parts such as a blade or handle.

When sending an item for service, include a note inside your package with the following information:

  • Return Authorization (RA) number
  • Full name
  • Return shipping address
  • Email address
  • Phone number including area code
  • Full description of the requested service

IMPORTANT: We recommend that you remove and hold onto any third-party components such as pocket clips, etc. before sending your item to us. McNees Knives cannot be responsible for loss or damage to third-party components. 

Shipping Suggestions

A couple of things to keep in mind when shipping items to us:

  • Most carriers only cover losses up to a certain amount. Depending on what you are shipping, you might want to consider purchasing additional insurance from your carrier to cover the full market value of the product. We recommend using UPS.
  • Be sure to get a tracking number so you will know when your knife arrives safely to our shop. Due to the volume of shipments, McNees Knives staff will not automatically contact you when your item arrives. Please refer to your tracking.
  • McNees Knives is not responsible for lost packages.

Getting Your Stuff Back

A member of the McNees Knives team will contact you once work is complete to arrange for return shipping.
