The McNees Knives PM (Performance Machined) line is a labor of love, and now we're excited to bring you Gen 2 of our ever-popular PM Mac 2 model in our newest milling pattern.
Maintaining all the core elements that made the Gen 1 PM Mac 2 so popular, this updated version builds on the already exceptional fit and finish you've come to expect with a new and improved threaded standoff design, a milled clip area, US-made hardware with Delrin caged ceramic bearings and titanium clip and body screws, and a few other subtle changes.
The swerve milling pattern is on both the face scale and the lock side.
PM Mac 2 Background
Jonathan McNees wanted to bring a more affordable line of knives to the market, but he would only do it if he could keep them made in the USA. It might not be the easiest or most profitable route, but it's an important part of the difference that you can feel every time you pick up a PM Mac 2.
The PM Mac 2 3.5" is an extremely pocket-friendly and ergonomic design. With lines that flow open or closed, it sports all the features you would expect from a full custom.
All outsourced work on the PM line of knives is done in the US, with a good portion handled at Mcnees' Alabama-based shop, including fitting locks, detents, and sharpening. As our capabilities expand, even more will be done in-house by Jonathan and his team.

Received my PM Mac 2, 3.5” swerve pattern and could not be happier. The build quality and design are very robust yet refined. The action is sooo smooth and the sound it makes on lockup tells you the blade is going no where. I’m not suggesting you do but you could just BEAT on this knife and it’s gonna be just fine. Has a nice heft to it (not too much) but carries in the pocket very well. Customer support is there to help as well, I ordered the wrong color and they read my email immediately and changed it before shipping. Shipping is lightning fast, I ordered on Thursday and had in my hands in Ohio on Saturday. Overall just couldn’t be happier. I’m sure this piece will last me a lifetime. Support the small guys and The USA you FREAKS!

These are a sweet new design on the Mac 2 3.5" i can never say enough about how much I love the Mac 2. The Mcnees Mac 2 feels like it was made for my hand & i love this new Mac, the grip
on it with the swerved milling will be good and grippy! Thanks Jonathan, Amy & the entire "shop crew"

The new “swerve” milled Mac 2s are such a great addition to the collection. I chose blue/green and the color reflects differently from different directions. Mac 2 is already one of my favorite knives. I love new variants!
